No, not in Raleigh. I’m currently in Pratt, Kansas after we intercepted three tornadoes from one supercell in Protection, Kansas on April 23, 2007. Have a look:

Here is the storm after sunset.

More photos later as it’s very late!
April 24:
After another long day that was initially more promising, we didn’t catch a tornado, although we did miss one by about 20 miles and 20 minutes near Sterling, Kansas. We did see a nice vivid rainbow and some spectacular cloud structure on the back of a storm’s shelf cloud, at least
I’m uploading on a cellphone so these images are small.

I would like to see some macro shots (up close) of the tornadoes.
Stay safe.

Wow, great job Matt! I’m in meteorology at NC State and I wish I could do some storm chasing of my own!
Does that 2nd image have one wide tornado with precip in the middle? That third image was a good image of a LP (Low Precipitation) Tornado + funnel cloud. I have so many more comments, but then I’d be getting technical!
