The word “Podcast” is a bit of a misnomer. Like the title says, you don’t have to have an iPod to enjoy the easy listenings of the Raleigh Skyline Podcast. Our podcast can be listened to directly in your web browser, or you can download the mp3 file and play it locally on your computer or any mp3 player.
A Podcast is pretty much just an internet radio show (read more about Podcasts on wikipedia) . Our podcast, the Raleigh Skyline dot com Podcast, is basically Matt and I talking about the happening of the Raleigh area with a primary focus of the downtown region. We also talk about recent changes to the website and some upcoming events that are coming to the area.
The “Cast Crew” loves to receive listener feedback. Any comments, topic suggestions, or just saying “hi” can be sent to podcast@raleighskyline.com or you can leave a voice mail at (206) 600-5053. You can call (or email) us 24 hours, 7 days a week. We would love to hear what you think.
No iPod needed (but if you have one, that’s ok too).
-Dustin (1/2 of the Cast Crew)
Last night I was able to catch a few lightning bolts as well as some video of the storm that persistent into the early morning. Here’s a catch from Boylan Ave bridge:

Lightning strikes one of the 2,000 foot tall towers in Clayton, NC, as seen from downtown Raleigh.
Our video made it on CNN and ABC News and Good Morning America. Heres a screen grab and a link:
