Todd, I hear you with the hotel thing in DT. The Marriott will help out for next year. The Clarion (where we stayed last year for the Beer Fest) was booked the day after tickets went on sale this year.
I remember the good ol’ days (2 years ago) when you could get beer fest ticket a week before the event… Oh how the times have changed.

Also I wanted to add that I tried to find a room in “ANY” motel/hotel in or around DT this weekend for the “Raleigh Beer Fest” and they all told me the same thing…”we are all booked”. We need more motles/hotels in Raleigh!!!

I never meant to imply there was no activtiy in Raleigh. Charlotte still has things to do, but I get a great vibe when there. Like I said before everyone has there own opinions about places and thats what makes both cities good. Charlotte should have saved some older buildings but if you do a little walking you will find a few places.

No bottom line is Charlotte and CIAA is a success and I hope it stays. Having NCCU, St. Aug and Shaw nearby helped it when it was in Raleigh/Durham.
