April 9th, 2008

I’ve decided to to try a weekly photo series rather than a main monthly version to keep the photos fresh. The plan is to release at least 10 photographs each Wednesday (providing I can keep up). Let me know if you prefer this format!

    Matt,

I know how tough it will be to keep up with a weekly series, but the demand is well worth it  People here see the best and want this to continue in shorter time intervals. I mean, can you blame us for demanding more :) As for this series of photos, I am not sure there will be a single individual who won’t be satisfied!!! Every single image has something to say, but the next to last image is simply out of this world. It reminds me of Darth Sidius/Senator Palpatine, in Star Wars. I am sure you can see why.

Thanks for your commitment to excellence and for keeping us happy.

Excellent as always! Just out of curiosity (and this maybe be elsewhere on the site) – what type/model camera are you working with? Same for all or a few for fun?

    All the best,
    Lisa

Very (x100) nice. I also enjoy the idea of a weekly series. I mean, one a month was great, but once a week is gonna ROCK. Also, I think all of us out here in Clayton could use your photography skills. Sure, we have no actual skyline, and our tallest buildings are apartment complexes, but we need pix! Plus I think that the Town of Clayton would pay a lot of money for photos of their town. I’m serious the position of mayor only pays $7000 a year! They have PLENTY of money! Anyway, great job, looking forward to next week ^_^

How do you improve on PERFECTION Matt? What type of magic do you do on these photos. They are out of this world. How do you find all these new angles that make Raleigh look better than what most give Raleigh credit for? Please come to NYC and do the same.

I would love a weekly series.

    Thanks everyone.

Lisa, I currently shoot with a Canon 5D and an assortment of 7 different lenses.

Emanuel, I don’t know if you saw my NYC shots from last September…they can be seen here:

Great photos as always! I have relocated to Charlotte, but left my heart in Raleigh. I check the site often! I’m in town now though, and drove past the Capitol last night to see someone taking pictures of the monuments…my first thought was the photo series!

JR, any insight on what the lvl 99 is about? Matt and I wonder what’s up with that.

Just graffiti I guess – although maybe the artist was thinking the same thing Matt was when he laid eyes upon the view from there.
