I love the pics on this site. Have you ever made the trek down to Centennial Campus to snap a few pics of the new construction down there? (I know, they don’t really add much to the skyline, but I’d still love to see some shots from there with your spin/skill on them.)

When did they take down the tower crane at Charter Square? Does this mean that this project is stalled indefinately? It looks as if they are still working on the parking deck, but I can’t tell what they are going to do above ground since the big crane is gone.

Also, the last I heard is the the Hillsborough got funding, when will we see any work at the site?

DAMN!!!!!! MATT!!!! your pics are beyond AWESOME…I LOVE THE PIC OF BEAU!!! You can never go wrong with that beautiful dog!! I also like the Wachovia building pic framed by the 2 trees!! I also like the RBC pic from Nash Sqaure and I think the night shot of the original mystery skyline should be considered for Raleigh’s Money Shot!!!

Does anyone else think the new signs around downtown are ridiculous? I hate them. They are on every corner, and they donwt even tell the best way to get to the places on them.

Are there any renderings of the final design of Green Square? I cant wait fo City Plaza to open up. Assuming its going to be really nice, I dont think anyone can grasp what its going to do for the south end of Fayetteville St.

Daffodils of Nash Square is my favorite picture out of these, but not by far.
The last one is another favorite too.
I really like this album along with the album of Barrack Obama.

You should definetly come to the city of Salem, Ohio &nd take pictures.
It is not big, but it is beautiful with alot of nice people..

Matt,

You always deliver quality, and as the downtown matures, your photos will become even more valuable. All that construction is great, but we need a small period of “peace” to let the new projects become “old” :LOL: In the meantime, I do not mind seeing some activity along Hillsborough Street… I think it is much needed there, and without The Hillsborough we can only hope for One Glenwood and Winston Tower to “return”.

Hard to single out 1-2 photos, but if hard pressed I must go with the last one – Beau is simply a beauty – and the one labeled “Late evening skyline” (although it’s not late evening). The image inside the museum is also very nice. Did you shoot these photos with your Mark III, or the new 5D?

The Garland H. Jones / Wachovia shot is MONEY – so very well done. And, I’ll never be able to look at One Progress Energy without thinking about Terminal 2 now – such a funny resemblance!
