Actually it has added more life. Its kinda strange seeing people walking around with bookbags in that area. Makes the right turn onto Dawson from Hillsboro a little trickier with pedestrians

Campbell University's School of Law inaugural semester at the Dawson & Hillsborough site is underway. In some small way, I hope that this will add alittle more life to that section of DT Raleigh.

As much as I enjoy seeing our skyline grow, I travel quite a bit - especially through Richmond - and while no single building in Richmond particularly excites me (some of those shot of RBC Plaza make it look heavenly!) collectively the Richmond skyline has a nice broad density to it. I am eager for the day when we'll see the same thing in Raleigh - hopefully it will not be long before the skyline begins to stretch westward towards Glenwood South. The addition of the Edison Towers will help as well. I'd still love to see at least one - ONE - 600+ foot tower go up downtown. That would look impressive from any angle! :)

Love the lightning shots. Especially the ones where it is striking right behind the Wake Co Parking deck. The color temp of the lights inside it make it look like the lightning is striking it and causing the glow. PRetty cool.

Whoever was asking about Two Hannover. I have done some work in the building and up on the roof (My company actually built a mini building in all that stuff there for a cell phone site's equipment in the early 90s not too long after the building was built - needed a helicopter to get all the stuff up there) and there are the usual mechanical systems up on the roof, but the 2 pinnacles are just for show and pretty much open except for cross bracing (or they were, now there appears t be a fair number of antennas attached to them.) The are just metal panels on a steel framework. I assume that the architects wanted a certain look and that is why they put the metal panels up there. You can kind of see what is going on from Google Maps. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=two+hannover+square+raleigh&oe=UTF-8&ie=UTF8&split=0&gl=us&ei=RoaBSpDdEpSsMY2NwJQL&ll=35.773871,-78.640015&spn=0.000453,0.000841&t=h&z=20

Matt, you make humidity look good!!! Solid photos, even from days when photo clarity is hard to accomplish and image composition becomes more of a burden. You know how to make and take photos :) Hard to choose one favorite... I loved the Raleigh View Rd angle, which I can see becoming one of the favorites for many people once The Edison gets built. Also, I must say that I LOVED the Archdale Bldg image; very nice angle. Thanks for putting together this collection.
