I like the Tilt Shift shot. I have seen wuite a few examples of that and similar stuff lately in the Architechtural photography field to get the fake model look. Pretty darn cool.

The last two pics of the Fireworks are also great. I love how they reflect off RBC Plaza and the Progress Energy building combined with the off angle really give the downtown area some width, instead of just two rows of buildings down Fayetteville St.

It is still kind of hard for me to wrap my mind around them letting cars drive down that far, knowing what I know about the Parking deck under the plaza. It has been a while since I have done any work downtown, I hope they strengthened it up some and fixed all the leaks while they were at it. It also does not look to be marked very well for vehicular traffic. Hopefully it is not an accident waiting to happen.

UNBELIEVABLE first shot! Looks like a model, I had to look about three times on that. Thanks for the pics ... great as usual.

Still think Plensa project would have been far better though.

Ya I have to say the same thing Matt about the tilt/shift lens.. For some reason the lens makes it look like a model set up maybe like a toy train set up which leads you to believe it's life size but u question yourself at the end...Good stuff

Awesome as always! I love the fireworks reflections off of RBC. Also awesome tilt shift!

P.S. got a chance to visit Pittsburgh for the first time. I didn't really have a chance to explore and the weather didn't cooperate, but I got a chance to see the city from the incline.

It is nice to be able to drive down Fayettevilla Street all the way now. As for the Charter Square towers, I think the
county courthouse tower will get built first. Thanks Matt for your excellent photographs of City Plaza.

I must say that I was afraid City Plaza would look to kitschy, but after looking at these pictures, Raleigh needed some lights and "pizazz." It adds another layer to downtown. These pics are really great at capturing what City Plaza should look like after Wide Open. It is a gathering place for Raleigh, the living room of the city. Great job!

Every time I think I've seen it all, you launch another attack and leave me speechless!!! Loved all the shots, but I was most impressed with the tilt/shift shot. The Raleigh View Rd shots are also incredible. I wish the weather had helped a little more. Not to mention the State Fair taking place at the same time. Matt, thanks for sharing your work with us.
