If you’d be interested in coming up to see the view from the 16th and 17th floor of CAPTRUST tower just let me know. On a clear day the Raleigh skyline is quite amazing from up here.

In the Oakwood cemetary picture, how old are the two houses in the center of the frame? I live in pretty much a total modern copy of that in Morrisville.

I can only echo what the previous forumers said: Outstanding shots, great vibrant images, beautiful angles (some of them new) and overall an outstanding selection!!! The CAPTRUST Tower is actually a nice building, even though I wish it was taller and thinner – the developer wanted to offer more space per floor – and when NHE is complete it should make a great place to shoot. It already has a decent urban feel to it and maybe Matt would consider exploring that area more Granted, the NH security guys will not bother him, as they have bothered me in the past…

Beautiful photos, Matt! The colors are so vibrant in some of these (Hillyer Church, Fletcher Park, Hillsborough St., among others) that they almost have a HDR feel.

I’ve been waiting for this set since the RWO4 photos a month or so ago. I can’t wait to get back to Raleigh in December for a few weeks – thank you for making the wait more bearable!

Jonah- Yes, I recently bought a new tilt-shift lens primarily for perspective correction and overall sharpness, but it can create that effect as well.

Terrific shots (as always) Matt! My favorites from this series, by far, are “Blanket of leaves” and “Raleigh railroad tracks.” The tilt-shift stuff is amazing … do you have a dedicated lens for that?
