Snow began falling late Christmas day in Downtown Raleigh for the first time in 60 years, though the snowstorm arrived overnight on December 26, 2010. Quite a rare site to see Christmas decorations with real snow in the Triangle.

Outstanding work!!! I am surprised I didn’t run to you, as I was out there taking photos, too 🙂 Of course, my photos are nothing comparing to the photos you posted, but I must admit it was fun. Back to your photos, I love the contrast of colors and the clarity. Today was a tough day to get clear shots of the skyline, unless of course it was easier before I got there. Also, I loved the Hillsborough Street shot… Something about people walking in the middle of the street makes the shot great, IMO.
Many thanks for the photos. Thanks to Beau for posing 🙂

I love it when the trees are a bit wet, and the snow sticks to them.

I’m from Rocky Mount, NC but living in Boston for grad school. I was living in Raleigh for awhile. I can’t wait to return to live there. I’m proud to call Raleigh home!
