    Matt-

Great photos again. But, you’ve misidentified pink Saucer Magnolias as pink Dogwoods. It has been an outstanding year for Saucer Magnolias as they are usually hit with a hard frost during the blooming period that turns the flowers a baby food consistency. You’ll probably not see them this nice here for awhile.

Thanks for the correction, Chris. I wasn’t sure and figured someone would correct me.

That Magic Hour Raleigh photo from Dix really makes the Raleigh skyline look dense.

Absolutely gorgeous photos, and I am glad you took advantage of the beautiful days to capture the beginning of Raleigh’s best season. One observation, after looking at the photos from Dorothea Dix: The N&O site will provide a wonderful opportunity for a skyscraper, and I surely hope nobody under-develops that parcel. That, and the Enterprise Rentals will become hot spots for development and the best opportunities for us to add density and height, provided the buildings are over 700ft tall (to offset the elevation “issues”).

Thanks for the photos, Matt. Glad to see Beau playing with her friend 🙂

Man, you need to call Boomani Jones or ESPN and work a deal for them to use one of your pictures as the background when he is on Around the Horn. They have used a couple and none of them look as good or show as much of the city as yours do. The Magic hour from Dix is just awesome. Imagine what it would look like if they ever get The Edison and/or Charter Square going.

I agree with Amazing, you should see if you can put one of your images on Wiki for Raleigh’s page.
