After almost five months, Two Hannover Square has finally attended to the embarrassing lack of flood lighting on the building's architectural setbacks. Since mid-June, the decorative illumination has been turning on a little past 9:30 PM, well past the "magic hour" atmospheric conditions that occur after sunset, which prevent optimal evening photography. To make matters worse, many of the setbacks have had missing flood lights, leaving the overall appearance incomplete. I had guessed that the powers that be may get around to fixing it for Raleigh Wide Open III, but to no avail. Here we are in the last few remaining days of November, and the annual changeover to the holiday green lighting has nearly solved this frustrating problem for Raleigh's image (in my opinion). Lights are still missing from the second setback down from the roofline, and the top "fins" have not made the switch from white to green, though I expect the fins to be changed soon based on previous years. Lets hope that an appropriate person reads this and can get the remaining setbacks lit!
