Every year about mid-July, I wait for a clear day while the Crape myrtle trees are blooming to get the "classic" daytime shot of downtown Raleigh for the year. I use my 24-foot tall tripod to raise the camera above the bright blooms to get a perspective you can't see from the ground.
This photograph was taken from Classic South Saunders and contains Two Hannover Square, PNC Plaza, One Progress Plaza, and Wells Fargo Capitol Center.
