Ha, I remember sledding down the hill in the court of carolina during that very snowstorm. We took trays from the dining hall and wrapped them in trash bags. worked like a charm.
LOL… I still have my tray with the date and the depth of the snow written on it. And lets not forget the anatomically correct snow persons in the Court of Carolinas as well… That was an AWESOME week for us southern snow lovers!!! (until I sild down the steps and busted my backside)
I will NEVER forget the 20 inches of snow we got in Raleigh in Jan 2000! My wife and I (she was my girlfriend at the time) lived in the Camelot Apartments off St Albans drive in North Hills. We were stuck in that apartment for DAYS! We made the best of it by sledding in the nearby parking lots of the businesses on Six Forks, and playing Trivial Pursuit online on Sony’s “The Station”! Those were some good times and very fond memories! We had been together for maybe 6 months at that time, now 22 years and 4 kids later, we are still going strong! The snow of 2000 will forever be etched into my brain!

I actually took pictures of that too. I’ll have to see if I can find those.
I think shortly after that, they redid Court of the Carolinas to include a big concrete barrier which prevented the good sledding.
