Timeplase: Hurricane Irene approaching Raleigh at Sunset

As Hurricane Irene neared the North Carolina coast, the outer fringes of the massive storm began brushing the Raleigh area, generating rapid cloud motion from the northeast. I decided to try a time lapse to capture this (about 50 minute duration)- but didn’t anticipate the setting sun making an appearance.

    Wonderful colors!!! Love the time lapse video, too 🙂 Thanks for covering Irene for us – somehow I know you will be there to capture some more footage.

    Nice! The new Justice Center is filling up a nice bit of space too. Looks pretty good in the 2nd photo.
