Great photos as always! Unfortunately the Skyhouse and the Edison towers will not be visible from the money shot
    on South Saunders Street.

Dang… great pics. I especially like the 1st one and the ones at sunrise. It would’ve been cool if there were pics of the Color Run and the Bluegrass Festival but whatever still an outstanding job as always.

I would of liked to get some photographs of what you mentioned but I’ve been in Europe and just returned.

Awesome! I particularly loved the Dorothea Dix and Archdale building shots.

I think Skyhouse should be very visible from the “Northern Money Shot” (where 1 and 401 merge together near Mini City).

Nick: SkyHouse should look real good from Wake Forest Rd. @ Duke/Raleigh Hospital. I have gone to the 5th floor on the Duke Hospital Parking Deck & the skyline really looks good. Dwight

O wow that’s really cool! I’ll have to check Metroscenes.com. But yea the city was very active that weekend and it was a lot of fun.

In my opinion the view from Chavis Park has been the best view of the skyline for awhile. And it will only get better with Skyhouse, and Charter Square being completed!

I stopped by The SkyHouse site today & talked to some employees with Batson- Cook Const. Co. They said that const. should start any day now. They are waiting on the closing, ” financing ” of the lot.

Yeah there were several guys there today measuring things and spray painting symbols all over E. Martin and Blount streets around the construction site. Must be a good sign!

Eric, I got a e-mail last night from a Raleigh official who said SkyHouse will start very soon. Yesterday when I talked to one of the site people, who I believe might be the superintendent because he had a set of plans, said that the SkyHouse in Atlanta had some apartments that rented for $3,000 a month. They were 3 bedrooms, each with a bathroom & he thought that probably college students [3] would rent them & split the rent.

Um… I go to State and I would NEVER pay $1000 a month to stay somewhere while I’m in college. That is absolutely crazy. I live right across the street and only pay $475 a month. They might have to rethink that.

A 23-story luxury high rise is NOT targeting college students. They are targeting people who can afford to by $1500-$3000/month and don’t want a mortgage.
